Infographics In Journalism

An infographic is a visual representaion of data or information. This data may come in the form of  charts, graphs, maps, and diagrams. As technology is improving at a spectacular rate, the use of infographics in journalism is becoming increasingly ubiquitous. A journalist can collect information from sources and use an infographic to bring together the information in a visual yet brief and simple manner. A perfect example of a visual yet brief story can be seen on top 10 box office movies of 2008 and top 10 most pirated movies  Journalists are able to capture the attention of a viewer using an attractive and simple infographic.
